Several people suffer from temporary handicap. This means they have undergone hip replacement or some similar surgery and need an appliance like a crutch during their rehabilitation, for temporary use. We have also set up a ‘first of its kind’ appliance bank in our premises, to cater to this specific segment of handicap, wherein previously used appliances are tapped from the public and given to those who need them. These aids can be recycled and reused, or if desired, may be retained by the beneficiary. This is very similar in concept to the Book Bank or Drug Bank.
